$1460	Beautiful Signed Large LLadro "In The Gondola" #1350 w/ Cert. of Authenticity Beautiful Signed Large LLadro "In The Gondola" #1350 Issue Year: 1978 Sculptor: Francisco Catalá Decorator: Julio Ruiz Size: 17¾x30 " Base included In XIX century, affluent newlywed couples spent their honeymoon traveling around Old Europe. Italy was the place to go for enjoying classic art and romanticism. In ref.1350 Lladro has depicted one of these young couples, dressed as XIX fashion enjoying the ride in a venetian gondola. Confirming the setting to be Venice, Italy, the gondolier leads the boat, with its typical uniform of striped t-shirt and straw hat. Such a complex piece, so large, with so many characters, scene details, engravings and porcelain flowers, builds one of the best wedding gifts possible. Numbered series.

It measures 30” x 6.25” x 17.75”. Its issue year is 1978 and the sculptor is Francisco Catalá. The piece is signed by the two lladro sculptors Francisco Catalá and J. Ruiz. The only wear to be seen is to the fabric covering the wooden base, it is faded which is common in bases like this.... It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and would make a wonderful addition to your collection!
