$1600	Rare gres Lladro figurine #1329 Mother Kissing Child. Also known as Comforting Baby and Mimos (Spanish). Produced as a limited edition of only 750. Retired in 1978. This figurine is marked “No. 12” on the bottom. Designed by Francisco Catala -- the figurine is signed by Catala on the bottom. And is also marked with the signature “Luana Devis”. I am not sure because I can find no references, but this may be the artist who decorated the figurine. Normally these limited edition figurines would have had a wooden base, but there is no base with this figurine and I have never seen a photo of the figurine with a base -- not even in the Lladro Reference Guide. Excellent condition -- no chips or cracks. No box available. Measures 15" tall and weighs 19 lbs.
