$1070	Beautiful Signed Large LLadro "In The Gondola" #1350 Issue Year: 1978 Sculptor: Francisco Catalá Decorator: Julio Ruiz Size: 17¾x30 " Base included In XIX century, affluent newlywed couples spent their honeymoon traveling around Old Europe. Italy was the place to go for enjoying classic art and romanticism. In ref.1350 Lladro has depicted one of these young couples, dressed as XIX fashion enjoying the ride in a venetian gondola. Confirming the setting to be Venice, Italy, the gondolier leads the boat, with its typical uniform of striped t-shirt and straw hat. Such a complex piece, so large, with so many characters, scene details, engravings and porcelain flowers, builds one of the best wedding gifts possible. Numbered series.
