Lladro has been in operation since the mid 1950's, and produces high quality decorative porcelain figurines, that are highly sought after by today's collectors. DESCRIPTION: This delightful piece is entitled LITTLE ANGEL WITH LYRE Model Number 6528G. It is in the ANGEL PLAYER SET , which also includes the Little Angel with Violin and Little Angel with Tambourine. The figure is truly angelic, with delicate detailing in her dress and an expression of pure innocence on her face. It was designed by the sculptor Jose Puche and was introduced in 1998. It was retired from production in 2004. At that time it had a retail price of $130 US and currently retails for $200 on the Secondary market, a measure of its desirability. You can be confident that you are receiving a bargain at the present price. The base has a printed Lladro backstamp dating from between 1990 and the present date. It also has a number of impressed and incised ciphers and letter/ number codes, the significance of which has not been established. It measures 5" in height (13 cm ). The box measures 7 x 6 3/4 x 5 3/4" [18 x 17.5x 14.5cm ]. In its box the figurine weighs 1 lb.4 oz. ( 550g) unpacked. CONDITION: It is in superb vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs or signs of glaze crazing. The box has mild wear only [ see photos]. The factory paperwork is also all present.
